We are what we try to be

For those of the world who grew up using Apple computers and not PC’s, you view the way PC’s work differently than those who grew up using them do. Just as a hammer views everything in the world as objects to be forcefully driven into some other object, we view the world in biased ways because of our limits that we have chosen. The examples of automatic doors and the undergraduate student of Sterne have something in common, use of technology with association to a person or persons’ desire. People live in the limits of their understandings and develop ways to accomplish goals (very broadly used here) within those limits, whether unwittingly or not. The Internet is a tool, but it is a purposeful tool that has benefits and hang-ups just as all technologies do. Technology, in total has the ability to forward our own possibilities and to hinder them through the limits we have given to the innovations.
